Joel Riehle
Teen Minister
When I was in High School I really admired my youth minister, Craig Grammer. He got to hang out with kids for his job. I thought that would be the funnest, easiest job in the whole world. That’s when I decided that I wanted to become a youth minister. And now after spending a few years in youth ministry, I’ve realized that I was wrong about the easy part, but we do have a ton of fun here in the youth ministry.
I’m really proud of all of our students and the way I’ve seen them grow both inside and out of the youth ministry. We’re real people here at Community and the youth ministry is no different. We have real struggles and real life issues, but stick together and more importantly try and keep our focus on God.
We put a real emphasis on making our youth ministry an inviting and welcoming environment. No matter who you are, it is intimidating being around other teenagers and we want anyone to be able to walk in and feel like God is a loving God because his people are loving to others.
So come be a part of our weekly youth worship service. We have a live youth worship band, a snack and smoothie bar, as well as games and friendly faces. Jr. High Worship Service starts at 9:30 am out in the trailer that we call the “Lodge” and the Sr. High service starts at 11:00 am. They right along side the adult services so drag your parents out of bed and come and visit.
